A few years ago I was having lots of problems with Electromagnetic Frequencies: wifi zones, sensitivity to computers and phones. A friend suggested getting an Earthing mat, so I purchased one. I found it made a subtle but significant different to my overall health. My husband used to get lots of electrical twitches while he was going to sleep, and was often a restless sleeper. After sleeping with the earthing mat all of that stopped.
The Earth has it's own natural frequency called the Schumann Resonance. Human bodies have evolved in contact with the Earth, and it is only recently that we have become so disconnected. Through concrete floors, rubber soled shoes, and other frequencies in our environment. When we are in contact with the Earth, the theory is that it gives us a unlimited supply of negative free electrons, which help stabilise free radicals in the body. I notice less fatigue and pain when I sleep on the mat.
The Schumann Resonance has been fluctuating regularly, and it is a great idea to ground daily to make sure you are in sync with the Earth. It is a bit like jumping up and down on a trampoline and making sure you are in sync, rather than getting double bounced (which can result in emotional and mental chaos).
So what are some other useful ways to ground? We can ground physically and also mentally using our thoughts.
There are other metaphysical reasons why it is such a good thing to ground, but all of the above are good food for thought.
