Amavi Farm is located in Yelverton, heart of the Margaret River wine region. With a focus on Farm Therapy using energy medicine, sound and nature assisted learning.

We are a small farm following regenerative agriculture and energy medicine practices in Yelverton, Western Australia. Our search for a farm started 10 years ago, inspired by our horse herd and passion for Equine, Animal and Nature Assisted Learning which helps to create an antidote to our fast, modern lifestyles and technology. We are Andrew Mason Bland and Melia Brent-White, a husband and wife team who are passionate about nature, learning and a return to a simpler life. We both value a return to the old ways, gardening, time in nature, things that take time to make which bring immense value to our lives and the priceless feeling of satisfaction.

You may be familiar with the saying 'Veni Vedi Vici' which is Latin for 'I came, I saw, I conquered'.
This phrase refers to a quick conclusive victory and it is said to have come from a bit of bragging by Roman Emporer Julius Caesar. Cocky Caesar used the phrase in a letter to the Roman Senate after a short war in Northern Turkey. The phrase is often used in military contexts, literature and film.
This phrase very much refers to our human nature of conquering, of our head overriding the body, of conquering nature, conquering animals, of ruling. This is the opposite of what we are trying to achieve.
'Veni Vidi Amavi' is the antithesis of 'Veni Vidi Vici'.
It translates to 'I came, I saw, I loved'. It represents our love for nature, our aim towards interconnectedness between all things and a return to the simpler life of time spent with nature, animals, food and work that brings nourishment to life.
It symbolises a return to the Way of the Heart, and a balance between the head, heart and body.
Melia has a passion for ancient Rome and Italy having spent quite a bit of time there in her 20s, so the name also satisfies her inner nerd and Italianista.
Everything we do here is infused with our love to the best of our ablity. We both are committed to the ongoing practice of self care, self love, acceptance and being gentle with ourselves. Even if that isn't always easy.
When you come to visit us here we offer our love to you, as we offer it to ourselves.
PS. Our first black ram just so happened to have a love heart on the side of his flank, true love!
