Treat yourself to one of the most nurturing, calming self-care activities you can find.
Andrew Mason Bland and Melia Brent-White will be facilitating a Group Sound Bath this Sunday at our beautiful farm in Yelverton.
Trained through the Peter Hess Academy Australia, our sound baths are gentle, soothing and nourishing. The relaxing Sound Bath helps the brain effortlessly find a meditative state through sound including Peter Hess therapeutic sound bowls, Fen gongs, chimes and other selected instruments.
Held inside near a cosy woodfire we have mats, blankets, cushions and eye pillows available. Chairs are available for those who can't lie down.
Afterwards we share a cuppa and outdoor fire pit overlooking the beauty of the farm, and if the weather is not fire friendly we will put the gas heaters on the deck ..
Yelverton is right in the heartland of the Margaret River wine region, only 20 min drive from Margaret River, Dunsborough and Busselton and 10 min from Vasse and Cowaramup.
10am Sundays $30pp Yelverton. Book here: https://innerequilibrium.as.me/soundbath

We are a small farm following regenerative agriculture and energy medicine practices in Yelverton, Western Australia. Our search for a farm started 10 years ago, inspired by our horse herd and passion for Equine, Animal and Nature Assisted Learning which helps to create an antidote to our fast, modern lifestyles and technology.
We are Andrew Mason Bland and Melia Brent-White, a husband and wife team who are passionate about nature, learning and a return to a simpler life. We both value a return to the old ways, gardening, time in nature, things that take time to make which bring immense value to our lives and the priceless feeling of satisfaction.

We've been here a year now and have recently named our home Amavi Farm. I told Andrew and my mum Wo the full back story about the name yesterday as we were looking at our ram and sheep, and Andrew commented that he wasn't aware of the full meaning of the name and what it means to us both.
You may be familiar with the saying 'Veni Vedi Vici' which is Latin for 'I came, I saw, I conquered'.
This phrase refers to a quick conclusive victory and it is said to have come from a bit of bragging by Roman Emporer Julius Caesar. Cocky Caesar used the phrase in a letter to the Roman Senate after a short war in Northern Turkey. The phrase is often used in military contexts, literature and film.
This phrase very much refers to our human nature of conquering, of our head overriding the body, of conquering nature, conquering animals, of ruling. This is the opposite of what we are trying to achieve.
'Veni Vidi Amavi' is the antithesis of 'Veni Vidi Vici'.
It translates to 'I came, I saw, I loved'. It represents our love for nature, our aim towards interconnectedness between all things and a return to the simpler life of time spent with nature, animals, food and work that brings nourishment to life.
It symbolises a return to the Way of the Heart, and a balance between the head, heart and body.
Melia has a passion for ancient Rome and Italy having spent quite a bit of time there in her 20s, so the name also satisfies her inner nerd and Italianista.
Everything we do here is infused with our love to the best of our ablity. We both are committed to the ongoing practice of self care, self love, acceptance and being gentle with ourselves. Even if that isn't always easy.
When you come to visit us here we offer our love to you, as we offer it to ourselves.
PS. Our black ram just so happens to have a love heart on the side of his flank, we'll do a post about him soon.
